The MCAAC Arts Endowment Fund
We are pleased to share with you that an Endowment fund is set up for the Mackinaw City Area Arts Council (MCAAC). The MCAAC Endowment was initially funded by a generous gift of $5,000 from Ray and Cidney Roth, former president, which was matched by Joan Pepper, a former Board Trustee. The Roth’s have been long time supporters of the Arts Council as well as actively involved members. Additionally, they were very instrumental in creating the Music in Mackinaw program. The Endowment was established under the Northeast Michigan Community Foundation, the umbrella organization for the affiliate Straits Area Community Foundation. Gifts can be made directly to the Community Foundation or to MCAAC.
The MCAAC Endowment Fund exists to help the Arts Council grow and to help us attain financial security. Your gift will enable us to continue to bridge the gap from our current capital fundraising, which meets our short-term needs, to long-term planning, which has obvious benefits. Eventually we hope to have a permanent venue and staff to allow us to expand our fine art experiences for Mackinaw City and the surrounding area. We can hardly wait! Please help us to secure our plan for staffing a venue and expanding our programs by making a gift to either our Endowment or Operating Budget. Our current goal is to raise $250,000 or more within 5 years.
We’d be delighted to speak with you about a gift to our Endowment Fund. Please feel free to contact MCAAC 231-412-2787 or mail to: email hidden; JavaScript is required
