Mackinaw City Area Arts Council promotes and encourages participation in and appreciation of the Fine Arts in the Greater Mackinaw City Area.

We plan and present art exhibits, educational workshops, programs, activities and performances throughout the entire year.

We are exited to offer art events in the Mackinac Straits Area including Music in Mackinaw Performances.

Mackinaw City Area Arts Council Grand Opening Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the opening reception to celebrate our recent move to our new space at Mackinaw Crossings. For a second year the Wehr Family has generously provided us with a retail space to be the cultural center for the Mackinaw City Area Arts Council. Please join us from 5pm to 8pm on Saturday, May 21, 2016.

ARTISTS NEEDED! The Mackinaw City Area Arts Council, The Mackinaw Area Historical Society, and Mackinaw Crossings are coordinating a community project based on the teachings of The Seven Grandfathers. Among the Anishinaabe people, the Teachings of the Seven Grandfathers, also known simply as either the Seven Teachings or Seven Grandfathers, are a set of precepts on human conduct towards others.
